台中消費者果真熱愛美食！IKEA台中店開幕近3年來，吸引逾600萬人次用餐，所供應的瑞典肉丸子約可繞台灣10圈，帶動台中店的餐飲比重突破1成達11％，高過其他4家分店的9％；其中，親子客源又占6成，IKEA台中店為進一步搶攻親子財，不僅全新改裝餐廳且擴大親子用餐區，今年餐飲業績可望成長1成以上。
IKEA宜家家居台中店行銷經理李佳潔表示，為提供台中消費者更舒適的用餐環境與更多居家生活布置靈感，IKEA台中店宜家家居餐廳今年7月進行改裝，不僅增加全新木質地板沙發座位區，也擴大親子用餐區，座位數從65位增加至135位，並提供趣味童書供小朋友翻閱。
由於IKEA台中店宜家家居餐廳已成為大台中地區三五好友聚餐的好去處，尤其周末假日總是大排長龍。李佳潔表示，台中宜家家居餐廳不僅打造全新樣貌，為提供更多元豐富的餐典，2017年推出5道全新菜色，包括「鮭魚菲力佐小麥輕蔬」、適合素食者的「瑞典蔬菜丸佐北非小米」，還有「炙燒肋眼牛排佐紅酒醬」、「照燒雞腿佐食蔬」、「蘑菇雞肉千層麵」等結合北歐特色與健康新概念的風味餐點。李佳潔進一步表示，暑假期間，平均單日約可湧入上萬名人潮，其中又有5成以上的消費者專程到IKEA用餐。
